Scott Poole
Scott Poole, FAIA, is Dean Emeritus in the College of Architecture and Design at the University of Tennessee, where he served as dean from 2011 through 2021. As an educator, he taught beginning and advanced design for more than 25 years at Virginia Tech, where he was School Director from 2004-2011. He also taught and lectured as a guest professor at the Royal Academy of Technology in Stockholm, the University of Texas, Austin, the University of Calgary, and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. In 2012 and 2014 he was named one of the 25 Most Admired Educators in America by DesignIntelligence. In 2020, he was selected as a Fellow of the Design futures Council.
