Jean-Luc Vincent
Jean-Luc Vincent's fascination with light is not new. From an early age, while other children lingered in the toy aisle, he insisted that his parents take him to explore the lighting aisles of stores. This early curiosity became the foundation of an exceptional career spanning over 42 years.
With a bachelor’s degree in environmental design from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM), he began his career in the lighting field as an industrial designer. With many years of experience and licensed by the LC title of the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP), he is truly passionate about creating quality lighting environments.
Stimulated by the technological evolution of the last decade, Jean-Luc constantly seeks innovative solutions to the complex challenges related to lighting applications. Recognized in Eastern Canada for more than 30 years, he has collaborated with large companies and North American lighting fixture manufacturers. In this role, he assists sales networks, building professionals, and designers in developing efficient systems.
Highly engaged within the Montreal section of the IES since the late 90s, he has served on numerous committees and held various positions, including the section president (2014-2016 and 2024-2025). He also recently served as vice-president of District 1 at the international level for the IES.
In his free time, he enjoys recharging with family and friends, whether on ski slopes, hiking trails, on a golf course, or during travels.
