Jean-Luc Vincent
Jean-Luc Vincent’s fascination with light is nothing new. From a very young age, while other children lingered in the toy aisle, he insisted his parents take him to explore the lighting departments of stores. This early curiosity became the foundation of an exceptional career spanning over 42 years.
Holding a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from UQAM, he first cut his teeth as a lighting fixture designer. This technical immersion naturally led him toward manufacturing before he further refined his expertise in lighting application. Ultimately, his practice shifted toward a human-centric approach: deepening the relationship between occupants and their luminous environment.
Over the past 30 years working for major lighting manufacturers, he has become a cornerstone for sales networks and building design professionals. His role goes beyond technical consulting; he acts as a true mentor in optimizing the light quality of spaces.
His commitment to the industry is also reflected in his long-standing volunteer involvement. An active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) for nearly three decades, he has had the honor of presiding over the Montreal section twice, in addition to serving as Chair of District 1 (Eastern Canada).
Driven by a profound motivation, Jean-Luc Vincent continues his mission with the same fervor as when he began: improving the quality of luminous environments to ensure the well-being and comfort of all.
