What prescient youthful memory relates to your present career?
I remember going to the construction sites with my parents who were both architects…
What are three basic rules you learned from your mentors?
■ Design is value.
■ Without communication, we would be nothing.
■ Think global.
What project launched your career?
Being the editor in chief of the office furniture Magazine Habitat Ufficio launched my career.
Any music playing while you work?
Generally… No!
Do you work in PJs or three-piece suits?
Neither. I prefer jeans, sneakers and jacket.
What is your current design state of mind?
Pure, yet very expressive and functional.
What is your most marked design quality?
Communication efficiency
How would you like your designs to go down in History?
By offering a solution.
What peer quality do you most value?
Being useful to people.
Which project is the epitome of your work?
Inviting every year, hundreds of professionals and journalists from all over the world to China International Furniture Fair in Guangzhou and Shanghai, organizing activities and offering «global» business opportunities.

My own country, Italy.

The Arco Lamp designed by ACHILLE CASTIGLIONI for Flos.
If you could host any THREE GUESTS, past or alive, over for dinner, who would you choose and what would you dare serving?
Gin tonics with Leonardo Da Vinci, Mies Van Der Rohe and Renzo Piano.
