The renovation of the food facilities at Kruger's head office had been a necessity since our first meeting with this client, both for the management and for the employees of the company.
The existing facilities had become too small for their needs. The existing layout was "dysfunctional": the kitchen and service area were located along the exterior wall and existing windows; thus pushing back the area of the seats in an adjoining space, far from the natural light available through the windows.
By the shortcomings of the existing arrangements, and in hand a list of the needs that the new installations must meet, we were allowed to design new layouts with logic and pragmatism.
With regard to the concept applied, from the start, the customer shows us the desire to convey the spirit of the company in the materials, colors, finishes and decorative accessories chosen; Kruger working in the industrial pulp and paper sector.
Through neutral colors, a tonic accent manifested by “radiant” blond wood among the other finishes, certain materials intended to be “industrial”, dynamic lighting, partially visible concrete structure, natural birch as decorative elements ( iconic Kruger), all these elements give the new food facilities a complex signature: warm and modern, chic but understated, stimulating and soothing.
