Heimtextil 2026 — A New Chapter of Design Innovation

                            Leading the Change
INT.design has once again been invited by Messe Frankfurt to cover Heimtextil 2026, taking place January 13 – 16, 2026 in Frankfurt.
As the world’s leading trade fair for home and contract textiles, Heimtextil continues to set the global benchmark for creativity, innovation, and sustainability in the interior design industry.
Under the upcoming motto “Lead the Change,” the 2026 edition will challenge exhibitors and designers to rethink materials, processes, and business models, placing design at the heart of a more intelligent and responsible future.

From Milan to Frankfurt — Patricia Urquiola’s Vision Continues
“Among Us”, the poetic installation by Patricia Urquiola, presented with Kvadrat, Moroso, cc-tapis, and Aquafil during Milan Design Week.
Blending regenerated nylon, AI-assisted design, and fluid sculptural forms, Urquiola’s work reimagined textiles as living, responsive environments.
At Heimtextil 2026, this spirit of experimentation will expand, building upon Among Us to explore how artificial intelligence, craft, and regenerative materials can coexist in the circular economy of tomorrow.
The completely new staging opens another chapter. It combines tactile objects with digital elements, visual projections and acoustic impulses to create an immersive overall experience.

Sustainability at the Core
Continuing Heimtextil’s long-term commitment to environmental responsibility, 2026 will emphasize regenerative fibers, bio-based dyes, and digital efficiency.
From Zeefier’s algae-derived color systems to AI-optimized textile recycling, the fair will spotlight solutions that turn sustainability into strategy.
Speakers including Eugenia Morpurgo, Ilse Crawford, and Christine Ladstätter will share insights on mindful design, consumer transparency, and the evolution of material ethics.
Looking Ahead
Heimtextil 2026 promises to be not just a trade fair, but a movement redefining how we think, make, and live with textiles.
Through dialogue, innovation, and design leadership, the fair is poised to inspire the industry to truly “lead the change.”
