Nadja BORRAS MARKOVIC
With a solid background as an architect graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Nadja has built a professional career spanning over 25 years, enriched by strategic collaborations with prominent architecture firms and independent projects. Her expertise has unfolded across a broad spectrum of architectural and interior design developments, encompassing diverse realms such as corporate, commercial, hospitality, residential, and healthcare buildings, alongside furniture design.
Focusing on the imperative development and implementation of sustainable and bioclimatic design systems, she pursued a Diploma in Sustainable Design and Construction from the Ibero-American University and a Master’s in Bioclimatic Architecture from UNAM.
As an avid researcher in creative processes and Design Thinking, she has shared her insights at international forums like NeoCon in Chicago, Illinois, USA, delivering presentations on leveraging neuroscience in design processes. Her commitment to knowledge dissemination has translated into conferences and talks at renowned academic institutions nationally and internationally, spanning from the Postgraduate Program in Architecture at UNAM to the Complutense University of Madrid, among others.
Her extensive experience in hospitality and lifestyle design, working with various international luxury hotel operators and restaurant brands, has led her to serve as a consultant specializing in experience design. From analyzing functional and operational standards to crafting personalized experiences throughout an integrated hotel program, her approach encompasses the entirety of hotel design.
The projects she has been involved in have not only received awards but have also been prominently featured in globally recognized publications such as IIDA, Interior Design Boy Awards, Architecture Festival, Icons, Cemex Works Award, Architectural Digest, Ahead Awards, Prix Versailles, and Gri Awards, among others like Domus, Interni, Ad, Interior Design, GLocal, Mexico Design, and Arquine, among others.
