The gears of time are accelerating, and in the midst of being carried along by information and technology, how to preserve a serene and distant attitude towards life has been the direction set by Zhongning Mansion in the planning stage. As the design evolves to cater to a gradually younger group of homeowners, the pursuit of the core essence of living strips away external physical attributes, revealing inherent endowments and reflections. In the same time and space, the living room, as a shared space, needs to bear various types of social functions; everyone has relatively private solitary space; soft furnishings styles are not confined to tradition but carry the freedom and relaxation of the new generation. Different forms of entertainment, contemplation, taste, and work, each moment of life is carefully preserved. Infused with the spirit of traditional East Asian literati paintings, the overall tone is based on elegant wood and light gray, with accents of green, reminiscent of the paintings of Ni Zan from the Yuan Dynasty. The upper part of the space remains clean and simple, with home furnishings often opting for relatively low forms, primarily using natural materials such as wood, stone, and leather, creating an atmosphere resembling misty mountain forests, connecting with the sky and the earth. Tailored for more mature homeowners, this design locks in the tone within subtle paintings, appreciating the landscapes of life with a calm and optimistic attitude, conveying a sense of profound meaning. The spacious open floor plan has become mainstream for high-end residences in recent years, especially in upper-level locations with scarce resources of mountain or water views. In an excellent location, the designer uses a refined approach to outline the tranquility of a wise life in this extraordinary residence.
