Exceeding expectations and pushing beyond limits were the objectives for this condo design project in downtown Montreal. The goal was to create a concept that was unique and exceedingly luxurious to appeal to a high-end market while remaining within budget.

The idea of tranquility provided the fundamental baseline for this project. In the kitchen, the monochromatic, muted tones of the walls and cabinetry were done in a matte finish and act as the perfect backdrop for the impressive glossy porcelain countertops and backsplash. Wrapping the extra thick countertop down the sides of the textured island makes for a luxurious centrepiece. Complementing the exquisite porcelain are natural wood floors imported from Spain. The chevon installation is an elegant touch that adds an elevated high-end feel. The palette feels airy and light while the finishing adds sophistication and elegance.

The wise use of exceptional materials continues in the main bathroom and powder room. Floor to ceiling marble makes a huge impact in the main bathroom with brushed nickel fixtures adding to the extravagance. In the powder room, marble is used once again but this time one wall features a mosaic marble done in a chevon installation to add a unique and stylish touch.

The primary bedroom is a shift from light airiness to dark richness. The colours, materials and textures convey the feeling of being enveloped. From the oversized custom-made velvet bed to the dark ceiling, this room feels masculine, intimate and comfortable. A tranquility that is borne out of feeling at ease and rested.

Using a few show stopping materials in unique ways, it was possible to achieve a luxe, high-end design while remaining within budget. With the hard work and collaboration of key suppliers such as, Maison Lipari, Ciot, Batimat, Euro Legno, Planit Construction and Armoires AD Plus as well as the client, Groupe Brivia, the result truly outshines the competition.
