This project locates in Kochi prefecture where is on the southern side of Shikoku, Japan, spreading east and west to embrace the Pacific Ocean. It boasts a lush natural landscape with the clean water of the Shinmanto River and mountains covered by forest.
We took a great advantage of the Kochi’s rich nature and family-oriented prefectural character to create office just like home for employees to work in the relaxed and comfortable environment as requested by employees.
The concept is HOME + Y ! to create office just like home for employees to provide comfort and stimulation. We were inspired by the traditional Japanese house and the idea of “MA” which means the space that connects inside and outside, people to people, community, nature, and work.
We used the local wood and recycled materials as much as possible, and incorporate warm colors and elements extracted from nature in Kochi.
