LONGTERM DESIGN·
Letters tell the missing mind and roller shutters reflect the swinging shadows
In this design case, space will be painted with indigo-blue as the background. Getting rid of the former Japanese style as the keynote in Japanese restaurants, we make Song Dynasty style throughout the whole design.
Fallen leaves on the front steps leave to be uncleaned.
They lean against the banana trees leisurely and sleep with the sound of raining.
The sound of rain knocking on banana trees is one of the most important lyric images in Chinese ancient literature. And it is influenced by many elements like climates and regions to show abundant aesthetic features such as rhyme and rhythm. Therefore, it can arouse complex emotional experience of ancient scholars.
Designers adopt the installation shaped in bananas in the shopping mall as the background. In this way, it seems that the space is located under the banana trees.
It just drizzles while the wind blows ceaselessly.
The sound sleep during the whole night cannot dispel the effects of alcohol yet.
The maid who were rolling the blind was asked about the outside circumstance.
The answer was that the begonia was no different with it was the day before.
As for the modelling of the eave above the facade, there’s a visual sign as the rolling shutters. The people who rolled the shutters were not there any longer, yet you and I are the persons in the painting who are partially awakened from the drunkenness. Outside the corridor, there was plenty to be appreciated no matter it’s the luxuriant leaves or the withered flowers.
The farewell doesn’t come until it has been a fully enjoyable time.
The sudden entrance to the depth of the bamboo grove in the courtyard is out of expectation.
The path though the antecourt zigzagged with bamboo poles strewed and withered at both sides. Taking a slow entrance into the bamboo forest though the path, you can see a full court of bamboos shining and dimming. The artistic conception after the rain is simply concentrated into the courtyard.
Raindrops fall and the water wave ripples.
It’s so fascinating to smell the aroma of the fine wine among the shutters and mats.
Stepping into the room along the meandering paths, you can spot the lights shining and the lighting effect assembling the raindrops on the wood veneer. The former description of rain knocking on banana trees can get the echos here.
It’s the unique romance enjoyed by the scholars to see the intersection and mapping of bananas outside and rainfalls inside, raindrops on banana trees and modern lights together with shadows among different time and space.
The rain falls in the whole courtyard to make the surface ripple a lot. In the dim space, lights and shadows make tables and chairs reflect warm yellow halos in distinct gradation.
Beauty comes from the combination of objects.
It generates the contrasts of thickness and thinness, brightness and dimness of the shades.
We are so used to living in bright space to feel the shapes of objects and experience the vigor of life. However, in the shades of trees, we are more focused on the things at hand. In this case, there’s not an excess of lights to disturb vision. When it’s necessary, there will be a small number of linear lights to reflect the rising and falling of the construction. In dimmer places, vision is restricted while other senses become more agile. Beauty in this world can be spotted from different perspectives.
The practice of splitting lights by straight bars is evolved from the Song Dynasty style breaking off curtain rod. With the angles of sunlight exposure change as time passes, shadows are reflected on the surface of objects and they seem well-proportioned and comfortable.
The name of Tiny Ten can be disconnected roughly.
Tiny can be used to describe dusts and ashes while Ten is used to show fullness and perfection. These two images are combined to be Tiny Ten which explains the conception of faraway from perfection. It agrees with the artistic expression of this design case.
Time and space have changed a lot while natural scenery hasn’t changed a bit.
The rain leaves to be the same as it was before and the mountains are the same too.
Now when you are at where you are, it doesn’t count any more about where or when you are belonged to.
