The Solution/Project Description
The assignment was to promote and advertise the renewed Veterans Museum Memorial in Balboa Park.
We created a concept where people can find all the standard information, such as description, current expositions, address, fees, sign-up, registration, etc. However, we developed a section that turns the website into an internet visual museum, where you can find historical information and facts, infographics, galleries, videos, and other interactive areas.
There is a 3D section where you can see visual information using 3D Anaglyph Glasses (red and blue). The paid entrance fee includes 3D glasses at no extra cost. The Museum will also have some sections that use 3D graphics. You can see an example of 3D Graphics on the file “Freaner-Creative-Veterans-Museum-full-3-D-page.jpg,” but you require 3D Anaglyph Glasses. The idea was to offer a creative way to keep people returning to the website and the Museum.
The website was highly recognized, and we increased the traffic online and, as a bonus, the traffic to the actual Museum to get the 3D glasses. You can also get the 3D glasses by mail.
Note to jurors:
This design requires 3D anaglyphic (red and blue) glasses to be seen in its fully intended format and for the whole experience.
