Lifelong Montrealers, the clients wanted to realize a dream they had cherished for a long time and design a spacious house adapted to their tastes and needs in a neighbourhood where lush nature is put forward.
They also wanted to be able to welcome their aging parents under their roof to be close and to take care of them.
After a long search, the clients fell in love with the Art De Vivre Lac Brome residential project, located in the former Allard golf course region. Benefiting from an incomparable panoramic view of the mountains and valleys, the backdrop was ideal for building their dream home.
In collaboration with the firm Evolution Architecture, the configuration of the different rooms has been thought out to ensure the longevity, quality and timelessness of the final result. We went through all the details of the property including the integration of geothermal energy as the main heating and conditioning source.
This Scandinavian architectural style was the client’s source of inspiration. We mixed classic, modern and chic to create a timeless and eclectic space mirroring their personalities.
As soon as you enter the house, a European cobblestone effect floor, the glass doors, the dark wood ceiling and the concealed storage set the tone for the rest of the project. From the entrance, we have a view of the office space where the custom-made furniture creates a cozy atmosphere.
The open concept living room, dining room and kitchen offers a breathtaking view of the exterior and the vegetation. In the living room, the fireplace cleverly integrates a television on one side and a tailor-made library on the other side displaying the client’s books and travel souvenirs.
The kitchen is a subtle blend of classic and modern styles. The client’s favourite appliances were the concept starting point. Therefore, the kitchen has been designed including different shades of white to match these appliances. The integration of brass hardware creates a refine and chic look. The 14-foot-long island accommodating 5 seats, has been carefully designed with an apron sink with a custom-made drainer sitting on the stone countertop. This central element is bold but traditional in its deep green colour. The kitchen centerpiece is undoubtedly the majestic brass hood made by a local craftsman. The \\\ »walk-in\\\ » pantry area has been optimally designed to meet the client’s needs.
The small powder room has been designed to provide a unique experience for the guests. It gets its original look from the different textures.
The master suite has been designed in a private wing, adjacent to the gym and the swimming pool, providing the privacy desired by the owners. In the bedroom, wall mouldings provide an interesting texture and give the room a chic hotel look.
The swimming pool is also a spectacular design element with its black background giving a dramatic tone to the space. From the swimming pool, we have a breathtaking view of the interior courtyard and veranda, which have been thought out to create a continuity with the interior.
