Shum Yip Taifu Plaza is situated in Shenzhen, China. This expansive international creative complex spans over one million square meters and encompasses a range of facilities including business offices, residential accommodations, commercial spaces, and hotel apartments. The plaza is designed with the vision of creating a vibrant and artistic urban lifestyle, offering a comprehensive home living experience.
The underground commercial center, skillfully designed by the Lansing Design Group, embraces a nature-inspired theme. The decorative elements feature sleek and streamlined designs that harmonize seamlessly with the existing open commercial areas. The space is adorned with lush green plants and flooring that mimics the natural grain of wood. The main passage maintains the stylistic continuity of the floors above, while the intelligently placed ceiling lights serve as wayfinding tools for consumers. The architectural columns, with their graceful curved forms, are skillfully integrated with the ceiling and illuminated by point-shaped perforated light sources, creating a sense of lightness and elegance.
Key area display points within the commercial center have been strategically designed to enhance the shopping experience. Through the use of visually appealing display props, an immersive commercial atmosphere is created, guiding consumers into the interior spaces and encouraging them to explore. In areas with lower ceiling heights, LED light strips take center stage as the primary decorative element. The design aims to maintain a spacious ambiance while utilizing the light strips to guide and direct consumers toward the interconnected commercial passages.
The design approach is characterized by a minimalist and contemporary style, employing layers of visual guidance to create a striking visual contrast for consumers as they enter the commercial center and encounter a wide range of products. Additionally, various scenes have been created within the space to accommodate relaxation, social interaction, and product showcases. These thoughtful additions aim to prolong consumer engagement within the shopping mall, ultimately promoting consumption.
