Open your eyes and succumb to the Panoramic House! Mélyssa had carte blanche to create the design of this property, from the design of the plans to the installation of decorative accessories. The house was razed to be rebuilt on the original foundations, because the land offered a beautiful view of a lake, but the structure had too many defects to be renovated.
The owners wanted to live and entertain in a place where comfort and style combine harmoniously. The windows that frame the rear facade flood the spaces with natural light. These are the largest windows that can be transported on the road; hence the name of the residence. The layout was thoughtful and personalized. Handleless storage has been provided in the kitchen and in the walk-in pantry to hide all the appliances and thus ensure a clean look. The refrigerator is also hidden behind a cabinet panel. The wardrobes are walk-in and without doors to preserve fluid circulation. A hidden laundry chute connects the master suite toilet to the laundry room. Finally, a vestibule was designed to store the owners’ sports equipment.
The materials were selected for their textured and natural appearance. The cathedral ceiling features pale-tinted white pine beams and slats, the engineered flooring is engraved, the backsplash is concrete and the fireplace cladding is natural stone, a continuation of the exterior cladding. The black cabinets with a supermatte finish contrast with the raw wood and create an enveloping, charismatic and modern atmosphere. Thanks to the material (FENIX) used to design the cabinets, the surface is opaque, soft to the touch and anti-fingerprint. A few cognac accents energize and add warmth to the decor. The use of metal with a matte black finish on the staircase, the wine cellar, the kitchen island legs, the log storage and the doors adds character to this home. Wrought iron lighting fixtures are works of art in themselves. At the staircase and the mezzanine, the glass railing is barely visible. The privacy of the house is preserved thanks to roller blinds which are discreet, opaque and motorized.
In the master bathroom, there is an open space where the bath and shower come together, a vanity, a linen room and a make-up room. The room has no windows, the ceiling is cathedral and the tiles are very dark; it was therefore necessary to find a lighting solution that integrated into the space and style of the house. You will notice LED strips at the corners of the shower walls integrated into the tiles to ensure sufficient lighting. This lighting is more than useful; it creates a cozy and sensual atmosphere to the great pleasure of owners who appreciate moments of relaxation after a busy day.
In short, the Panoramic House embodies the perfect marriage between aesthetics and functionality, offering its owners a living environment that lives up to their dreams.
