RURAL MODERNISM
The "earth" project was born as a concept project to respond to the need to find a place in which to estrange, open the mind, share spaces and activities going to retrace the past times through a sensory estrangement . A place aimed at creating the "buen retiro", a break from the daily rhythm to return to a slower lifestyle. Behind this, there is the primary need to reconnect man with himself, the environment and its origins so as to favor the biophilic approach. In the path of reconnection it is essential to rediscover the love for life, for what is around, and observe it carefully to appreciate its beauty; nature in all its forms, therefore, is a fundamental part of this concept and must be a faithful companion of man in his path of regeneration. Man is himself nature and equally important is his sensoriality: stopping and sharpening the senses to perceive everything around him in a natural and spontaneous way is what helps to let go. Everything aims at the well-being and personal enrichment of man. It is in this way that the idea of conceiving a new type of cultural center is born, which not only aims at aggregation and sociality, but which wants to become itself a "sensory experience" by integrating itself to become part of the landscape in which it is born; a natural environment, open and far from the noise of the city. The ideal setting of the Marche countryside surrounded by nature and every type of landscape, from the sea to the mountains, already offers in itself a great approach to well-being and the rediscovery of local traditions thanks to the numerous amount of vernacular architecture of the region still present in the territory today. Reconnecting with one's own land to bring to mind ancient traditions in a context such as the rural one, comes spontaneously. The result is a structure-organism in total harmony with the landscape, with pure and organic shapes, also designed on the principles of eco-sustainability, in fact even in respect of local tradition the use of local raw material was therefore chosen. The materials taken into consideration are mainly: raw earth, stabilized beaten earth, brick, travertine. Opening body and mind and returning to inhabit natural spaces is the ultimate goal of "earth", which uses principles and themes according to the psychophysical well-being of man. At this point, I suggest you to see the "presentation 01" file to understand how the interior spaces were conceived and designed. Thank you.
