Resulting from a collaboration based on the love of materials, the Anta table is composed of a top in Terrazzo of green marble as well as a base in lacquered solid ash. The objective of this project is to explore the possible dialogues between two natural materials, stone and wood. Through this composition, the intention is to work with transformed materials and combine their different textures. This simple micro-architecture highlights the full character of a dark Italian Terrazzo and the grain of this wood species from North America. The ash is lacquered in a complementary color to the Terrazo, contributing to a contemporary aesthetic and a touch of nostalgia. The construction of the table is inspired by architecture, hence the name Anta, which refers to the structural pillars of Greek temples. As a bonus, this collaboration aims to reuse stone leftovers. This constraint requires a constant renewal of the dimensions, the choice of stones and the design of the tables which adds to the bespoke nature of these collections.
