Salle de bain Saint-Hilaire

GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 17th edition

Discipline : Interior Design

Categories : Special Awards / Renovation (Before & After) : Gold Certification

Categories : Residence / Bathroom

In the heart of the Saint-Hilaire countryside, the master bathroom of a house underwent an exceptional transformation. After careful consideration and the examination of several layout plans, the decision was made to create two separate vanities, allowing space for an arched shower entrance. The bathroom space was sensibly enlarged by integrating the adjacent, previously neglected hallway, located opposite a window offering captivating views of nature.

.

The choice of materials was thought out to combine durability and aesthetics, with a Dekton shower base and an arched opening on the green herringbone ceramic wall, the true centerpiece of the bathroom. The separation between the lady’s and gentleman’s vanities adds a touch of charm and functionality.

The vanity conceals a mirror illuminated by integrated lights (see accompanying video). The bath, both spacious and elegantly fluted, takes pride of place in front of the window, complemented by delicate curtains that lend the space an irresistibly charming atmosphere.

The plumbing at the end of the bath is a real eye-catcher.

The plumbing finished in bronze brown, enriched by a few golden accessories such as the curtain rod and hooks, adds a touch of subtlety to the whole. Far from conforming to the tradition of white walls, this bathroom is adorned with limewash paint, offering richness and uniqueness to the design.

A remarkable detail lies in the heating system, concealed in the ceiling: a 24×48-inch white plate forms the main source of heat, combining discretion and efficiency.

This ambitious renovation aimed to endow the bathroom with classic cachet while adding a touch of modernity and personalization, reflecting the owners’ unique character. The result is a bold design, imbued with a moody atmosphere and undeniable charm.
