Built on the shores of a lake in the Laurentians, Residence Y is a single–family residence for an active retired couple in love with nature and the landscapes of Lac Écho. Through its \ »Y\ » layout, the house seeks to celebrate the site on which it is built, with respect and humility. It encourages in those who inhabit it a movement influenced by light, framing on the landscape and going back and forth between inside and outside. Rather than a simple landscape to contemplate as a single painting, Residence Y tries to frame it on several scales. The relationship between these different points of view allows the couple to consciously live the site that hosts them.
