Nestled atop a rocky cliff, offering breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River and the bridges of Quebec City, this single-family home provides its residents with an exceptional living environment where the exterior and interior seamlessly blend.
Designed for family life just steps away from the bustling arteries of the city, and to meet the specific needs and lifestyle of its occupants, the layout of the residence includes a home office, a gym, a family room, a screening room, a master suite, an at-home spa, and more.
The interior design has been thoughtfully executed with simplicity, allowing the site, the surrounding nature, and its spectacular views to become prominent elements of the interior spaces, thus creating bright and soothing atmospheres. The residence holds open, clean, and abundantly windowed living spaces, offering breathtaking views of the mature trees of the cliff and the St. Lawrence River.
Flowing seamlessly with the exterior architecture, the materiality of the interior design is composed of raw and natural textures. Wood and brick are present, dressing the interiors to create a strong connection between the interior and exterior, seeking to perfectly harmonize the ambiances of the residence.
A central architectural staircase presides over the main living area, acting as the central pivot of the house and leading to the more private spaces on the upper floor. The basement, partially open to the lower ground, provides relaxation areas bathed in natural light, as well as recreational zones and the technical areas of the house.
All interior elements of the house are custom-designed, including the choice of furniture. A few simple touches of color are integrated in places, subtly, to enliven the spaces dedicated to play and to add a playful touch for the young users who will occupy these spaces.
