The Bicycles Quilicot distribution center was designed to offer cycling enthusiasts a meeting place. Housing a distribution center, boutique and head office, it was necessary to create a building on a human scale, despite its size and mixed functions. To achieve this, it was necessary to design facilities that enhance the user experience, guaranteeing quality outdoor spaces and fluid, welcoming paths.
To clearly direct customers towards the store, a play of contrasts was used. By opting for a relatively opaque main façade, customers are guided towards the transparency of the curtain walls, which envelop the first floor.
Ultimately, the project’s scope makes it part of a larger scale, that of the town and region, acting as a gateway to the CentrOparc development and thus marking Bicycles Quilicot’s presence in Mascouche.
