In this grandiose project, the ambition was to harmoniously blend diverse materials, surprising textures and refreshing elements to create a luminous, immersive aesthetic. Under the expert guidance of Erik Maillé Design, the architecture and design were meticulously conceived, resulting in a remarkable achievement.
The living spaces and kitchen fully embody this vision. Adorned with blends of materials, unexpected textural elements and innovative shapes, they stand out for their carefully thought-out details.
In contemporary interior design, every space is meticulously shaped by obsessive attention to detail. Every element, from the choice of materials and textures to the layout of architectural elements, is carefully considered to create an experience that is both immersive and harmonious.
In an environment where attention to detail is paramount, every design decision is guided by the goal of creating an aesthetic that goes beyond the merely visual, also taking into consideration sensory and functional aspects. Every texture, every accessory, every color is carefully selected to contribute to the overall atmosphere of the space.
From the outset of the project, Erik Maillé provided a creative vision, proposing a multitude of ideas for the kitchen. Thanks to the occupants’ willingness to embark on bold renovations, the designer was able to rethink the kitchen layout and remove walls to create an exceptional design.
We were delighted, as were the customers, by his sense of refinement and his ability to integrate a variety of elements harmoniously. The aim was to merge country and modern kitchen styles, integrating oak elements to create a balanced, authentic expression.
The perfect balance between these elements gives the space a natural, cohesive look. Bright cabinets and shimmering light-gray countertops, interspersed with dark accents and creamy white accents, blend with an oak hood integrated into an unexpected wood backsplash, complemented by more classic ceramic tile below. This complex combination creates a unique dimensionality and personality to the room. What’s more, the island cabinets, also in oak, help to reinforce this harmony between elements. The wainscoting and beams evoke the charm of the homes of yesteryear, while being interpreted in a contemporary way. It’s worth noting that the wood, such as that used for the hood, has been meticulously crafted by hand, adding an artisanal dimension and a unique character to the space.
As for the color palette, classic tones dominate, with Pebble-colored lacquered MDF and authentic Maple Sugar-stained oak, perfectly highlighting the finish. The pantry and china cabinet area features a bold deep blue-green, creating a striking and unexpected contrast with the surrounding white and the warmth of the wooden elements.
In this contemporary space that draws on both the past and the present, attention to detail is omnipresent and forms the very foundation of the design. Details are not limited to visual aesthetics alone, but also encompass practical and ergonomic aspects, aimed at making the space as functional as possible while retaining its aesthetic appeal. It is this meticulous attention to detail that transforms a simple space into an immersive and memorable experience for its occupants.
