GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 16th edition
Discipline : Interior Design
Categories : Residence / Kitchen : Bronze Certification
This kitchen, filled with refreshing brightness, was created by our team of professionals with a unique and innovative approach to create a spacious and welcoming space that combines warmth and comfort.
The open-air kitchen, designed with several custom elements, is equipped with numerous drawers and cabinets that offer multiple storage possibilities. With its well-thought-out ergonomic configuration, two sinks, and large island, it is also very functional, facilitating meal preparation in an efficient and organized manner. In addition, the kitchen has two bins (one next to each sink) for more effective waste sorting and recycling.
All the kitchen furniture is made of wood, adding a warm and natural touch to the space. The timeless character of wood, its versatility, and durability evoke a comfortable and timeless ambiance. The island and cabinets were designed with two types of oak, while the doors were made of lacquered maple, adding an interesting and harmonious contrast of colors and textures. The choice of wood for the materials allowed for custom colors to be developed to meet the specific needs of the clients. The stained white oak that creates a perfect harmony with the floor and the black-stained red oak island that accentuates the wood’s texture allow for a coherent and refined overall effect.
The custom-designed kitchen hood with sleek lines plays an essential role in this shared space. It brings sophistication to the room and gives it its unique character. The glass part with integrated lighting adds additional elegance to the kitchen, while the shelves with recessed LED strips on the window wall highlight the wood and conceal a power outlet.
The custom-made sliding doors with \ »flutex\ » glass provide access to the walk-in pantry, offering additional storage solutions and leaving room for the provisions to be organized effectively. The walk-in pantry is equipped with a refrigerator and a freezer, both covered to give a more streamlined look to the space. Note that it is uncommon to use this type of finish in a walk-in pantry.
The appliances, covered with cabinet doors, create a more uniform and aesthetic effect. The backsplash and quartz countertops blend perfectly and add a touch of refinement to the workspace.
Particular attention has been paid to every detail to ensure perfect harmony and longevity. The high-end materials and cutting-edge manufacturing techniques used in this design ensure exceptional, resistant, and durable finishes. It should be noted that this kitchen was designed with products that have a low ecological footprint and lacquers free of formaldehyde.
Meticulous attention to detail and highly precise manufacturing were applied at every stage, from conception to realization. The experienced designer who created this transitional classic style kitchen demonstrated great expertise in the use of materials. She has created a living space that is both elegant and refined, thus creating a perfect marriage between functionality and aesthetics.
