The artist likes to get off the beaten track: she creates a space of freedom for herself to better develop her art. She goes beyond standard animal photography. She tells a story with geese as the central element. Free and living in colonies, these birds must nevertheless follow a flight structure and work as a team to achieve their goals. Their roots are anchored within them. Symbolically, they are designated as messengers between heaven and earth.
The artist-photographer scours fields and shores to capture the white geese’s flight. She then lets her body of work inspire her. Choosing a starting photograph, she listens carefully to the work and imagines the possible. Warm and cold colors intermingle. She digitally manipulates her photographs, which are then printed on brushed metal or white metal. The artist makes full use of the characteristics of the support, which, depending on the orientation of the light, gives life to the scenes created. Like the geese that return each year, she names her works with the date and time of their completion.
The works presented here are inspired by the inner struggle of change and evolution. A child growing up. The tumult of adolescence through self-discovery.
