The pavilion is an addition to the House on the Lake designed by Bipède in 2017. This satellite building incorporates a relaxing aquatic space located just steps away from the house and in close proximity to the shoreline. The Nordic architectural style echoes the style of the house, with a steeply pitched roof and a generously glazed lake-side façade. This place of rejuvenation includes an indoor pool for the cold season, a hammam, a sauna, a rest area with a wood-burning fireplace, and a loft on the second floor, with a living room, bedroom and bathroom.
Due to the orientation of the pavilion and the large openings, each room is in direct relation with the lake and the surrounding nature. The interior design proposal plays on the strong contrast of materials, in a space bathed in natural light. The front part of the pavilion houses the services. At the entrance, the reception area, the hidden staircase to the first floor, the washroom and the hammam are developed. Opposite, the black monolith houses a wood-burning fireplace and log storage. In contrast, the sauna, glazed and dressed in light wood, stands out from this black mineral environment, accentuating its comforting and warm presence. The pool occupies a privileged space across the entire width of the pavilion on the lake side, and unfolds in a luminous and light gray mineral environment. At its end, a wooden sidewalk located in the extension of the outdoor dock, accentuates the link with the lake.
Upstairs, a storage wall delimits the entrance area and the bathroom from the rest of the loft. The bath is placed outside the bathroom in relation to the open area to take advantage of the view of the lake. The loft offers a generous relaxation space, housed in the roof space, with its bed and living room enjoying a view close to the water. An office space tucked into the alcove of large dormer window, also offers an inspiring place to study in the quiet of this setting.
