Promotional text_ Mtl ash furniture collection

The emerald ash borer has been attacking trees in the province for several years now and has killed millions of trees in North America.

We’ve been lucky enough to use this species of wood sometimes for custom residential or commercial projects, and dreamed of making a mini collection of it available to the public. Finally, we decided to include it among the wood species offered in our brand-new furniture collection launching in June 2023.

It is with the organization Bois Public, with whom we share common values of wood revalorization and the circular economy, that we are collaborating to source our wood. Bois Public, founded in 2015, sources wood directly from the source (municipalities and institutions), then transforms diseased trees into planks for resale to the community or furniture manufacturing right in their Montreal workshop.

Their Leitmotiv:  »Contribute to the growth of a circular economy with social wealth.’

Being a fervent supporter of the circular economy and allowing our wood offcuts to be repurposed to various takers such as smaller craftsmen or schools, we are proud to collaborate with Bois Public and share the desire to preserve the environment and our heritage.

A strong sense of belonging comes from buying a piece of furniture made from felled Montreal ash. In addition to purchasing a piece of furniture made with materials from your own community and handcrafted right in the locality know that this one is solid and made to last through the years.

Ash is a very warm wood, usually light in color, but with beautiful variations from medium golden brown to dark. Since its grain is open, this gives it a light texture.

It’s also a very warm wood.

It’s also a hardwood with a beautiful density that makes it resistant and durable.

So, we present the Allwood Collection available in Montreal ash.

We wanted to give easy, affordable and fast access to a variety of furniture handmade in our Montreal workshop.

Following several months of development and ideation, we unveiled a selection of minimalist, timeless furniture.

Without reinventing the table, we believe that with the various wood and size options, everyone will be able to find a piece of furniture for life.

A range of 5 tables in wood or made from wood and steel are available in 5 native wood species and three practical sizes.

To enhance the collection, we also make available three benches that can be matched with different tables or used as entrance or accent benches.

Then, our two most popular stools are offered in two different heights, either for the island or for a bar.

Finally, two coffee tables and a lovely duo of side tables are offered in our selection of hardwood species as well as our two steel colors.

To create this collection born in 2023, we surrounded ourselves with a small in-house team nicknamed the « design committee » to « brainstorm » on the models and options we wanted to offer. We drew inspiration from our best-selling bespoke designs, revisited classic models and current trends. The result is what we present to you today. A collection of timeless, enduring furniture.

You won’t find a more local piece of attractive, designer furniture on the market than a table, bench or stool made from Montreal ash.
