NES – Nito Electric Scooter

By : NITO

GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 15th edition

Discipline : Product

Categories : Special Awards / Sustainable & Environmental Design : Silver Certification

Categories : Industrial Design / Automotive & Transportation : Gold Certification

The NES scooter is our most important product and represents the idea of mobility in which we believe, made of freedom, fun and respect for the environment.

Conceived to excite and satisfy the consumer market, it is available in two different models:

– NES5 (moped, top speed 45 kph,,range 100 km)
– NES10 (motorbike, top speed 90 kph,range 80 km)

with 72 different combinations.
The NES has a horizontal architecture with a removable battery positioned on the vehicle floor, with the motor in the rear wheel, small diameter wheels but with high tyres for a wide board and guarantee the maximum comfort in historic centre of the cities.
As the electric is something new, since the beginning of the project we wanted to transmit confidence in this new mobility. Therefore, we designed a vehicle that recalls the collective imagination about any scooter but looking like no one else.

Rich and authentic materials, such as bent marine plywood or leather, are essential to give value to the product, excite and create a good feeling between the user and the product.

The NES design is the Italian alternative for a mobility without CO2, quiet, which optimizes the operating and energy costs and offers a unique driving emotion.
