MUIC Kansai is an innovation creation center that aims to contribute to the revitalization of the Kansai economy by solving issues faced by the tourism industry to promote innovation, and by supporting the growth of startups participating in the program. The tourism industry has been severely damaged by the impact of the COVID, which has caused a significant drop in demand.
This program aims to maintain the foundation of the tourism industry by building a remote tourism infrastructure utilizing digital technology for tourist destinations and tourist guides that are suffering due to the decline in the tourism industry, and by creating opportunities to provide services even in the midst of this disaster, which restricts mobility.
In addition, the economic damage caused by the loss of inbound tourism demand, which had been considered a growth industry, is even more serious. The project will also lead to the training of guides.
In this way, we will establish an innovation creation model to solve social issues in the tourism industry through speedy commercialization in cooperation with our members, including promising start-ups and large corporations that are motivated to solve issues in the tourism industry. We will continue to contribute to the development of the industry.
