GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 16th edition

Discipline : Interior Design

Categories : Office / Office > 54,000 sq.ft. (> 5,000 sq. m.) : Silver Certification

Categories : Special Awards / Renovation (Before & After) : Bronze Certification

Our mission is to renovate this large office to unify all different company groups in 8 floors by responding all changes in new workstyles. The design concept is “KAITEKI PLANET”, reflecting the client’s company vision, which expresses comfortable work environment using different nature elements on the earth.

TERRACE area (for ABW and collaboration) is designed based on each floor theme: Sea, Ground, Forest, Sky, Sunrise and Earth. Each floor has different color scheme per theme. ATELIER area (for work desks and intensive work) uses common brand color “KAITEKI BLUE” to create sense of unity as single team workspace.

When we designed the floor theme, we considered all generations to feel comfortable and happy with our proposed theme. We took the five elements theory: earth, water, fire, air, and space to achieve greater health and happiness in the workplace. The theme of each floor is based on those elements: Sea, Ground, Forest, Sky, Sunrise and Earth. Each floor has different color scheme per theme along with the common brand color KAITEKI BLUE. We created the reason why the employees to visit other floors, and they can enjoy and experience the different theme and enables interaction between man and man and nature.

Due to the large floor plate, we designed to add some colors, wooden louvers, and pendant lighting fixtures in the ceiling per each floor theme to attract people’s eyes. The floor patterns were designed to follow a smooth flow line to guide people to work around the office.

Creating vibrant and productive space to encourage interactions.
