Maison Lavande opens the doors of its administrative center in the Lower Laurentians, Qc.

Operating in the lavender agrotourism and perfumery sector, Maison Lavande is a family-run company well known and appreciated by Quebecers. To mark the company’s progress and continuity, it needed to relocate and expand its current production center – La Fabrique des Filles – to centralize its design activities. This change provides the company with a larger production area for its various lavender-derived products.

The mandate for the interior design of the administrative area was entrusted to ISSASTUDIO, an agency specializing in biophilic design, a design that enables us to benefit from daily interactions with nature, and thus fulfill this otherwise all-too-frequent need for connection.

The designers were asked to design a sustainable, welcoming and unifying layout and aesthetic concept without, however, adopting the rural aesthetic codes associated with La Maison Lavande’s businesses. Moreover, nature has always been of great importance and inspiration to the Maison Lavande family. For the design team, it was important to include nature’s shapes and colors within the project. Through this approach, the design challenge was to conceive an enchanting environment, highlighting the architecture of the place, to create a singular identity and a natural environment on a human scale.

The workspaces are designed to encourage collaboration and creativity, with open, bright areas conducive to exchange and innovation. The materials used in the interior design are selected for their durability and aesthetic appeal, creating an environment that is both functional and pleasant. Biophilic elements are integrated into the architecture. These elements help to establish a deep connection with nature. Ergonomics are also at the heart of the design, with comfortable workstations adapted to individual needs. Relaxation areas are also provided to allow employees to recharge their batteries and unwind during their breaks.

The facilities at the La Maison Lavande x La Fabrique des filles administrative center have been designed with a view to providing all employees with a workplace that lives up to their ambitions and is dedicated to the well-being of each and every one.
