The LUM Pur Fleuve complex, consisting of three towers totaling 240 residential units, is located on a quadrangle between St. Lawrence Boulevard and the banks of the St. Lawrence River. The project is primarily aimed at a clientele of retirees, but is also open to other households.
The landscaping designed by our teams complements the contemporary architecture of the towers and reflects the lifestyle of the future occupants. The slender form of the buildings is soberly reflected by simple, yet effective volumetric choices, creating a noble and contemporary signature.
Our design takes advantage of the natural beauty of the site, the river and its shoreline, and provides ample opportunities for outdoor recreation. The project offers a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River and Montreal, visible from the residential units.
By choosing certain materials that recall the black and anthracite colors of the buildings’ facades, a modern and elegant visual identity is created in order to favor integration into the area while marking its identity.
Particular efforts have been made to reduce heat islands by marking the vehicular and pedestrian lanes with permeable concrete paving. A central outdoor plaza was oriented toward the river and its magnificent views, with outdoor seating and recreational spaces promoting community life, while anchoring the project’s identity. The string of outdoor common spaces reflects the developers’ desire to create a true living space where cohabitation is emphasized. The project includes a community garden and multifunctional recreational areas.
At the center of the outdoor amenities is a large water basin, a unique living environment that allows residents to enjoy the sunshine and the breathtaking view of the river. The design of the pond and its landscaped environment is inspired by the contemporary style of the towers, creating a visual harmony throughout the project.
Our landscape architecture design creates a high-quality, sustainable project that will bring life and activity to the riverfront parcel, attracting future residents who will be proud to call it home.
