GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 17th edition
Discipline : Construction & Real Estate
Categories : Construction / Prestige Construction : Gold Certification
Perched majestically atop a mountainside stands the Le Deux-Cinq-Zéro residence. An architectural work that rises, not without challenges, in a setting where nature dictates its rules. Confronted with a fiery topography, the construction of this prestigious residence was a true epic, a hymn to perseverance and innovation.
The main challenges lay in its constraining location, notably its steep terrain, requiring us to build the foundation in two phases, with prior backfilling. Also, close collaboration with engineers proved essential to ensure ground stability, thanks to robust foundations, minimizing any risk of subsequent soil movement.
Archestrated with finesse by the architectural firm, in synergy with customer aspirations and the creative input of our team, the design reveals a bold aesthetic. Every detail, from interior finishes to wall embellishments, has been meticulously chosen to infuse this home with a distinctive character, reflecting the most current trends in design and prestige living.
This residence is magnified by the strategic placement of abundant skylights, designed to fill the interior with vibrant natural luminosity. The combination of this natural lighting with the play of colors and contrasts gives the property a distinct allure and memorable cachet, affirming its remarkable identity in the architectural universe.
In this exceptional residence, every interior space has been sculpted with artistic precision, offering access to the various rooms that are masterpieces of discretion and elegance. Thanks to the use of noble materials and remarkable cabinetwork, certain passageways blend into the décor, creating a visual symphony that celebrates the intimate union between the residence and the splendor of its natural surroundings. This design philosophy extends majestically to the exterior, where the roof and siding, adorned with cedar shingles, envelop the home in an aura of singularity and grace. Thus, this home is not just a place to live, but a living work of art, in perfect harmony with the beauty that surrounds it.
On the second floor, this residence unfolds its singularity through spaces designed for refined intimacy, contrasting with the open breadth of the first floor. The architecture here reaches heights of elegance, with sophisticated roofs and outdoor galleries delicately arranged around the rooms, creating a harmonious link with the outdoors. This attention to detail continues in the choice of windows, dressed in two distinctive colors that accentuate the uniqueness of the residence.
On the second level, anodized gray windows contrast sharply with the black windows on the first and first floors, endowing the residence with a unique aesthetic and remarkable visual impact.
In addition, blower door tests exceeded Novoclimat requirements, attesting to the residence’s exceptional performance. What’s more, the application of a higher-than-standard thickness of urethane in the attic ensures optimal comfort and remarkable ecological performance.
In conclusion, while the photos and video are impressive, they fail to fully capture the elegance of this residence, as an in-person visit would reveal. Nevertheless, our pride in this project remains immense.
