Concept
The client Les immeubles Roussins mandated CCM2’s interior design team to develop a concept for the layout of the common areas of the Aromate rental condos. A space of approximately 3000 square feet is reserved for this dynamic, flexible, luminous community layout that allows the tenant to appropriate the place for socializing, working, training or having fun.
The space
A small comfortable lounge, framed by a wooden wall, is present at the main entrance of the building. The lounge is located on a mezzanine with a view of the large common room, the two spaces are connected by a wide, bright and open staircase. 2 coffee tables with ottomans, 2 modular sofas and a large orange leather sofa face the fireplace and the screen located at the entrance to the common room. Storage for games, books, and other items can be found in the built-in cabinet on the wall to the left of the screen and fireplace. A fully-equipped common kitchen includes an island bar for 5-7’s or workshops, a large table for 8-12 people, alcove seating that can be used for coworking spaces or eating with friends, and a table field hockey table. The layout includes two rooms adjoining the common room; the first is a pool table, a large alcove bench and chairs; the second is a meeting style table that can seat 10 people.
Materiality ;
The imposing windows open onto the interior courtyard and bring considerable natural light to the space. The choice of quality materials and colors (neutral and light) on the walls and ceiling maximizes the penetration of natural light to the back of the room. The designers respected the colors and graphics of the project’s brand image. The mosaic on the wall, which in its corners refers to the client’s graphic branding, is composed of natural wood slats that create a warm and soothing feeling. The integration of alcove benches, the use of leather for the sofas, the central positioning of the contemporary style common kitchen with a refined appliqué and the impressive amount of natural light create this feeling of well-being and conviviality appreciated by the target clientele of the real estate project.
The layout is a central core visible from the inside as well as the outside; attractive, warm and relaxed where conviviality is at its peak.
