An experiential boutique where personalization takes centre stage
The Beauce-based company KaseMe, which specializes in cell phone cases and fashionable mobile accessories, wanted to enhance its customer experience by developing a unique experiential boutique concept. Since the brand was already well known online, we helped them create an innovative in-store experience that would attract customers and encourage them to interact with the brand.
Our goal for this project was to offer visitors a place where they could find KaseMe accessories to suit their personal taste while expressing their creativity through personalization. The boutique’s design reflects the creative universe at the heart of KaseMe’s DNA: a colourful, assertive and welcoming space where the art of self-expression is the norm, not the exception. Like bold brushstrokes across a blank canvas, an undulating graphic motif covers the walls of the boutique from floor to ceiling, echoing the brand platform. The signature KaseMe orange draws the eye to the back of the boutique, creating a point of interest that guides visitors toward the KaseMe Studio.
The KaseMe Studio is the heart of the experience. Visible from inside the boutique and equipped with four nano-presses that can produce a personalized case in under 10 minutes, this workshop allows customers to fully customize their phone case to reflect their personality.
One of the challenges we faced was providing the flexibility to add, remove or segment products. So we created tailor-made displays, rounded in shape to echo the undulating design found on the wall, that showcase the hundreds of designs available across the brand’s numerous models. Since the boutique was designed to be a creative space, the central displays can easily be reconfigured into an exhibition room for the launch of new collections. Neutral surfaces and lighting were designed to highlight the various motifs and product designs, and a gallery-like easel section showcases the work of the artists behind exclusive collections. Exhibitions will be regularly rotated to create new opportunities for visitors.
As a certified B Corp company, environmental sustainability is at the heart of KaseMe’s mission. To make this promise visible and showcase the brand’s circular economy initiatives, a transparent box in the centre of the store invites customers to recycle their old phone cases, since many of KaseMe’s products are GRS-certified and made from up to 80% recycled materials.
Impact
- Increased sales and traffic in the new boutique compared to the first physical KaseMe store.
- Strong increase in demand for customized products (+30%).
