This project started right after the resident gave birth to her second child. Out of the caring to parenthood, the expectation towards this design is to shift the aspect of accompanying with family members. Thus, The key design of this project is dividing the functional region at the aspect of parent-child relationship.
One or resident’s favorite areas is the parenting room, located at the basement one. In this space, the parents spend the most time with their children. Sometimes, they would like to enjoy a whole afternoon just to build LEGO at here.
Another notable place is the reception room, which lies in the basement two. Be distinguished from regular reception rooms which were usually set on the ground, residents’ personal life could be more exclusive apart from social area. Lots of transparent materials like glass were used. Therefore, sunshine could stream in nearly every place of this project. The basement space which usually appeared to be hidden and conceal turned into a lively place through the sunshine and plants everywhere.
