GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 17th edition

Discipline : Interior Design

Categories : Office / Office 5,400 - 54,000 sq.ft. (500 - 5 000 sq. m.) : Gold Certification

ITI is one of Canada’s leading IT suppliers. From its beginnings in a Quebec City basement in 1991, the company has grown over the years to meet the needs of its customers. In the past five years, with new shareholders at the helm, an entirely new business and brand strategy has emerged, under the new “ITI” name. With teams in Quebec and the rest of Canada, ITI wanted to offer its employees a state-of-the-art head office that would reflect the values of ITI, more visionary than ever!
Conceptum designed an office space into which the latest workplace innovations have been integrated. Users can now easily transition from one task to another, as each room is equipped with technologies that support the team’s hybrid and agile modes. The Quebec City office aims to be the company’s nerve center, fostering exchanges and collaboration with customers, partners and employees across the country.
Conceptum was inspired by ITI’s leitmotiv of putting people at the heart of every project. The primary design motivation was to create a warm and inviting interior that reflects the ITI team spirit. Although technology is an integral part of the environment, each room showcases a hushed and cozy ambiance. The materials and colors used to give the place a unique and refined personality. From the moment you enter, you’ll sense the uniqueness of the space. The multifunctional reception area is at the heart of the office. It is used for a variety of purposes, including lunch, informal meetings and corporate events.
Conceptum’s designers used ingenious solutions to play with the volumes and geometry of the company’s logo. The two tunnels leading to adjacent workspaces are the result. Also, the ceiling heights, which vary between the reception area and workspaces, emphasize the contrast between light and shadow. To enhance the wrap-around effect of this space, our team also focused on acoustic attenuation by integrating felt wall coverings and making judicious use of textiles.
