Located in Central Hong Kong, the INUF Kau U Fong concept store draws inspiration from the serene ambiance of a classic English cottage. Spanning two-stories and covering 2300 square feet, the store features a sophisticated design infused with elements of Chinoiserie, creating a refreshing and calming atmosphere that promotes relaxation and tranquility.
The design philosophy focuses on cultivating a mindful and earth-conscious lifestyle, while providing a cozy, retro, and inclusive environment. Divided into five distinct areas, each with its unique ambiance, purpose, and function, the store offers visitors an immersive and experiential journey. Designed as ‘a space within a space’, it resembles a jewelry box, inviting exploration and surprise at every turn.
Upon entering the store, visitors are welcomed by a hand-painted wall covering adorned with lush lemon groves motifs, symbolizing purification and cleansing, reminiscent of a charming cottage nestled among lemon trees. The blue mint and yellow color scheme, along with natural wood accents, adds warmth and texture, creating a rejuvenating ambiance. The exterior facade harmonizes with the interior, featuring a cohesive color scheme that reinforces the brand image of INUF and sets the tone for the entire spatial experience.
The second floor houses the Facial Studio, Grooming Zone and Sauna, connected by a super low ceiling enhanced with delicate details, colors, and materials inspired by Chinoiserie. This design approach creates an atmosphere of layered depth, while the beams measuring only 1.98 meters high contribute to the unique character of the space. The Facial Studio showcases retro Beverly Hills hotel wallpaper accented with salmon orange and shades of green, while the Grooming Zone features a mystic garden wall covering and red-highlighted molding, complemented by soft and warm lighting, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
The exclusive Private Gym on the ground floor features an 18th-century hand-painted wallpaper in shades of pink and green, contrasted with modern design elements like a green-tiled fireplace and donut-shaped mirror artwork. Retro wall lamps complete the comfortable ambiance of the space.
The Backyard Garden behind the retail and Private Gym boasts a custom-designed blue-grey sink counter that harmonizes with the light peach-colored textured walls, adding an elegant touch to the outdoor space.
The holistic design seamlessly blends aesthetics with sustainability. LED lights and strategically placed sensor lights conserve energy in low-traffic areas, optimising efficiency. The façade and Backyard Garden design maximizes natural light penetration, fostering a vibrant and welcoming ambience. Reused old wood plank are incorporated into the display tables, showcasing INUF’s commitment to sustainability. Low VOC paint and natural materials like wood and stone create a healthier and organic environment. Environmentally friendly electrical water closets, faucets, and shower sets further reduce the store’s environmental impact.
Every detail of the INUF Kau U Fong concept store, from colors, materials and furnishings to lighting, spatial planning and functionality has been meticulously curated by CTRC. The result is a groundbreaking destination focused on mindful living, catering to the sophisticated customers of INUF and anyone who shares a passion for wellness and green living.
