The IMPERIA project concept, signed by Provencher_Roy architects, consists of a spectacular 22-story mixed-use building with a bold design. A gourmet restaurant on two levels as well as workspaces, a yoga room and a fitness room complete the amenities spread from the 2nd to the 7th floor. Floors 21 and 22 feature a superb urban chalet with breathtaking views of the mountain, downtown and the Quartier des Spectacles. A rooftop terrace with custom-made furniture and a superb spa are part of this wonderful place to relax and socialize under the sky.
With a very contemporary look, the glazed basilar portion of the building will update certain surrounding components. For example, the window, partially wrapped in vertical slats made of terracotta, is a contemporary take on the classic Imperial Cinema façade. The lower envelope of the building will stop at the same height as that of the Imperial to allow an elegant glass tower to rise above the Imperial Cinema and offer unobstructed views of the entire neighborhood. This daring project demonstrates great technological expertise in its realization.
