Our client Simplissimo, represented by avant garde developer David Azoulay gave the mandate to FLO Architecture architects and SANGARE studio to find an economical product that was durable and hyper resistant compared to the concrete finish on the market.
That’s when we custom developed, with our chemist, our own micro-concrete formula that passed all the abrasion, heat and stain resistance tests. Easy to apply, easy to repair, and giving a smooth finish, the product lends itself to a water repellent solution in the shower, resistance for floors and kitchen counters, and aesthetically dresses walls and ceilings to create a cozy, muffled design. Cemento plays with light effects to give a leathery finish. The art of the concrete finish was born and made a strong impression with its versatility.
In the Hotel David project located at 438 Saint Pierre Street in Old Montreal, Cemento was chosen to transfigure the heritage look with a contemporary and glamorous look and it’s a success. LhvDesign is proud to have taken up the challenge and developed a reliable, efficient and economical product and technique.

Cemento is an innovative material that allows you to create a concrete coating your existing surfaces
(concrete, self-leveling, ceramic tile, wood, …) with only 3mm
thick and without having to demolish the existing. Perfect for your furniture,
countertops, walls, shower and floor.

Many types of installation are possible. In fact, it is possible to have our crews install Cemento (turnkey), purchase Cemento panels or do it yourself (Cemento Kits or in bulk for large projects).

COLORS & TEXTURES
Direct-applied Cemento is customizable and available in 7 different colors and several finishes. It is also possible to create new colors and textures according to the customer’s wishes.
RESISTANCE
Cemento has high compressive strength and abrasion resistance. Resistant to climate variations and wear, it is easily and quickly cleaned.
QUÉBECAN FABRICATION
Cemento is made in Quebec and applied by hand. Thus, each floor or furniture is unique and has its own colors and textures.
FINE THICKNESS
Thin layer application facilitates your construction or renovation projects and guarantees low product consumption
APPLICATIONS
Cemento allows you to cover existing surfaces without demolition. This saves time and money. Cemento can be applied to a multitude of existing surfaces with proper preparation.
Waxed Concrete
The texture of waxed concrete is the smoothest and softest to the touch. In fact, waxed concrete creates a more uniform texture with more pronounced color variations.
MICRO-BEADS
Cemento with microbead texture is the most popular texture. This is because the microbeads provide a smooth texture that can be easily worked with a sponge.
SABLE
Cemento with sand is the one with the roughest texture. The sand particles in its composition help create relief and more pronounced textures.
