This case is located in the east of Jiangsu Rudong Culture and Sports Center. The plot where it’s located is the core area of the city. It is a commercial complex integrating shopping center, office and residence. The exhibition center will become a part of the shopping mall in the future and be used as flagship stores, cafes and other main stores. The future, fashion, science and technology, challenges，all of the designs come from innovation and continuous exploration in life.
Rudong is located on the shore of the Yellow Sea and has a vast beach. The design is inspired by the tide and the coast, like the integration of waves in the city center. The landscape is integrated with yacht elements, wave symbols and sound fountains to strengthen the theme with architecture.
The 400 metal “curtain” devices are supported by the smallest components, like a layer of “veil” floating outside of the clean and transparent main building. The bottom of the “curtain” is formed by a gradient colored perforated aluminum plate. When the perforation rate exceeds 50%, the aluminum plate visually loses its original texture of the metal and creates a hazy and uncertain visual effect, just like a theater curtain. By controlling the length of the rod to form a firm and extremely tension curve, it dances like a “spray”, which has brought us great surprises with the contrast of floodlighting. The main facade color is champagne gold, some are dotted with orange, highlighting the high-level sense of the building.
