Fuentebuena Headquarters is an interior design project developed for a technology company that offers financial solutions to small and medium entrepreneurs. It is located in Monterrey, in the north region of Mexico.
The concept of this corporate is to transmit the company’s core business, its human capital and its corporate identity in an architectural language that adapts to the new reality of hybrid work. The office becomes an annex of the home and seeks to encourage communication and collaboration of users through different and less rigid workspaces such as “casual collisions” and booths, which are defined as movable lounges, where you can have informal meetings, solve quick work, but also to relax and clear the mind, making them the most versatile space in the office.
These adaptable lounge areas are supported by technology, specifically with tools such as videoconferencing cameras that follow the user making a presentation or detecting and pointing someone speaking, as well as whiteboards where notes are made. All of this improves the quality of meetings, making them more fluid and casual, hence the name “Casual Collisions”.
One of the most iconic spaces at the corporate headquarters is the amphitheater called “El Olivo” (The Olive Tree) because of its unique circular shape. This space is a multi-purpose meeting center that is used for staff meetings, a place for relaxation and entertainment, or a space for corporate talks and chats. It is topped by a series of panels that follow the circular shape of the enclosure and help to control the acoustics of the space thanks to the acoustic felt fabric attached to the slab.
The project shows a clear relationship between materials and shapes, used to generate warm spaces that really improve the quality of life of the workers. The use of oak wood for wall cladding, with that play of circular shapes and warm colors, dialogue with more orthogonal shapes, grayer and cooler colors in the carpeted floor, but especially in the slab with apparent coffers, which in turn takes advantage of this plot to support a lighting design that accompanies these forms.
We can also notice this dialogue of curved and square shapes in the furniture, being more evident in these “Casual Collisions” spaces, where the versatility of the elements can generate almost any configuration or space needed.
Our signature in each project, is the development of the design focused on the relationship of the company with the user, their development in the office and their quality of life, evoking spaces where the individual can feel “at home” or with the comfort of it.
