Background:
Forma + was born! Indeed, it was in 2019 that the construction and real estate development company Magma merged with the company Coffrage Atlantique, carrying out large-scale projects in the housing field.
Following this merger, the new company needed new premises, a reflection of their ambition. So Forma + called on Carpediem Design.
The challenge here was to bring together under one roof two companies with different professional approaches. Magma, pragmatic, which realized among others the Hotel W and Coffrage Atlantique more focused on the aesthetic aspect in these projects, which boasts of working on large housing units, such as Skyblue. Bringing these two companies together under the same roof was a challenge that Carpediem took up, creating functional spaces with a design that was meant to be grandiose!
Forma +, a large-scale company, wanted to provide its employees with human-scale premises with perfectly thought-out spaces. The key words of this project were the focus on the team and its well-being. We wanted collaborative, versatile, spacious and bright spaces. Here, it was necessary to create warm work spaces, which could invite relaxation. The human being is at the center of the project, and it is finally him that we dress with beautiful materials, giving him the desire to go to work every day in an extraordinary context. The strength of the materials perfectly transcribes the company and its know-how.
Definition of the concept:
If we talk specifically about the Atrium, we can say that it perfectly reflects the image of the company. This space impresses with its unique visual impact. The use of strong and resistant materials, selected with taste, accentuates the image of Forma + as a strong company in the construction market. More than a passage between the different spaces, this atrium is also meant to be a meeting place between employees, or with customers, becoming the central element of the project.
The visual impact is certainly given by the space itself, with an impressive height and a lot of natural light. Then, the choice of quality materials, such as wood, concrete and steel, conveying the strength of the company and undoubtedly translating the scope of intervention in the building, coming to align the geometry. Indeed, here each line has a reason to be, we are as in a cube, in which we come to break these lines to add softness, with a magnificent destructured bookcase and circular lights in the ceiling. In addition, materials such as wood and concrete draw a wall with a unique and very interesting graphics. The space overlooks several other places in the building, with glass, even if on the ground the surface does not exceed 500ft², the impressive height, the clever play of materials and the resulting aesthetic composition, as well as the glass, bringing reflection and light, gives us a feeling of an atrium much larger than the plan tells us.
