Golden Damo Tea Culture Center is a recreational park featuring tea culture located in Sanyi Township in central Taiwan, which is famous for thick fog all year round and called Foggy Town.
The park is divided into five major areas. Area A is the exhibition room. Area B is the tea house. Area C is the restaurant. Area D is the store selling cultural and creative products. Area E is the conference center.
The architectural design of the project focuses on the tea culture center in Area A and Area B.
The design of the park has both the local and international characteristics, not only promoting the local culture, art, education, and recreation but also bringing the visitors the experience of the unity of body and mind through the exclusive oriental tea culture.
With the geometric concept and western modern technique, the simple and unadorned construction represents the spirit of the oriental tea and Zen culture through the elements of points, lines, and surfaces.
