GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 12th edition
Born from the desire to create a timeless, architectural piece of furniture, the Floe chair is a nod to the 50s that retains a touch of modernity. The chair is made up of thin steel rods and curved plywood that appears to float, giving it a sculptural character and feeling of lightness. What was originally intended to be a single model turned into a limited-edition collection, featuring three versions of the chair: standard, lounge and stool. The Floe chair attracted the jury’s attention due to its wise choice of materials, its minimalist design and its wellexecuted proportions, providing balance.
