GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 12th edition

A Montreal theatre venue for over 25 years, Espace Go recently experienced rejuvenation at the hands of FABG architects. Their mandate was, among other things, to create a wooden wall in the lobby to reduce sound reverberation. Their design is the result of an assembly of MDF slats spaced 25 mm apart, juxtaposed with soundproofing panels. The spectacular result impressed the jury, who had this to say: “Reminiscent of a curtain, the idea of this concept—integrating a single wood element—is completely ingenious. A work of art expressing the sensuality of wood.”
