Ellipse

As both manufacturer and industrial designer, we strongly value the purpose of what we produce. By being aware of our environment and competitors, we observed that foundation slabs are generally squared, using more materials that are unused in the corners, and less aesthetic. An ecological thinking appeared, initiated as part of our participation in 2022 in the Carbon-leadership cohort for sustainable industries. We saw here a strong potential for our Ductal UHPC concrete and expertise in terms of design in public places, to optimize the quality, reduce the quantity, and improve the durability.

No need of being a designer or an expert to see that many slabs age very badly and require a lot of maintenance to maintain a semblance of quality, because the traditional concrete is too heavy and unadapted to the ground. Nevertheless, these slabs are essential to any construction, to ensure great stability and durability. In this context, m3béton thought of a new innovative slab, in an elliptical form, more resistant, designed to all m3béton products, while using less materials. Traditional concrete being less aesthetic and denser and heavier for this kind of project, our Ductal UHPC is the perfect alternative, by not cutting on resistance or design.

Our Ellipse slab thus has been created by our designers and artisans. Our product reduces the raw material considerably : ¼ metric ton only (550 pounds) of Ductal is enough, while a conventional concrete is up to one metric ton. And this added to the fact that Ductal UHPC concrete is much more resistant (120 MPa) ! Moreover, as all our products, the Ductal material ensures an optimal quality of life, being resistant to freezing and thawing even after 300 cycles, but also being resistant to salt, UV, and more. «

We also wanted our slab to be aesthetic, so it can be a real part of the construction, and combine design and quality, and not cutting on one of these factors. The finish is like all our other products: smooth, homogeneous, and pure. We also developed specifically anchoring and transport levers, to warrant the simplicity and security of manutention while being installed.
