The Collection – The Birds – is the result of a collaboration between the artist/photographer Marc Cramer, and Nancy Bergeron, designer MACHIN-MACHINE.
The art of capturing birds in flight through the lens of a camera is the approach developed by Marc Cramer in recent years. Birds surprised in his garden become graphic artworks, on paper, on canvas, and then on fabrics at MACHIN-MACHINE.
The entire collection includes the M-M* classics: a jersey, a sweater, a sleeveless vest, and a printed piece – dress or skirt – the Birds. Four images of the birds are derived in four chromatic ranges.

The Collection – The Birds -, through textile printing, is a logical continuation of the M-M genesis: The quality of the printing on fabric is amazing, as precise as on paper. The sublimation technique ensures the long-term integrity of the colors. The textile base is made of polyester, rigorously chosen by the designer for its qualities: comfort, drapability, durability.
The prints – The Birds – are affixed to the clothes which become like paintings: the clothes are forgotten to serve these oversized figures: one is looking at us, it is the Crow. The Goldfinches / Hummingbirds / and Blue Jays fly away in pairs. On the skin, around the body, it is only comfort: on the outside, the color and the image of the birds, their impressive vitality exposed. M-M customers have character! They welcome each new proposal, one after the next, they dress in the same model year after year, they participate in the chromatic games, they are faithful, and adventurous.
The Collection – The Birds – is the first version towards a new avenue at MACHIN-MACHINE. A creative space reusable ad infinitum.
