Yulsmile is a clinic specializing in orthodontics and pedodontics located in Montreal.
With separate entrances for each field of expertise, the challenge was to create continuity across the two zones by embedding an atmosphere that is on the one hand playful, and on the other hand sober and versatile.
The concept then takes shape in a playful spirit but without attaching itself to a theme or yet to a specific color. A balance is found between the zones by marrying the whole with raw materials, reminiscent of nature. Wood, concrete, vegetation, all these elements offer warmth and modernism to the design.
The use of the tree in a deconstructed way visually creates a delimitation of the zones and also a link between the two spaces. For the one of pedodontics, we find it with angles that evoke the drawing of a child. While in the orthodontic area, it presents defined and neat curves.
It is in a play of textures, tone on tone and using chromatic colors in transparency that the character of the pedodontic area is illustrated, gently and leaving room for creativity. Making a generally stressful place into a place that stimulates the imagination.
The more mature and linear character of the orthodontic area inspires confidence and rigor, in its harmony of hues juxtaposed with the transparency of the glass partitions.
The angled wall in the corridor creates a really interesting dimension upon entering the treatment section.
