GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 16th edition

Discipline : Interior Design

Categories : Office / Office 5,400 - 54,000 sq.ft. (500 - 5 000 sq. m.) : Gold Certification

The original factory building has poor lighting and ventilation, so the design adds two patios, one of which is square, and another is circular. Around the fitting between the square and circle, the functions are arranged with concise circulation. The office area is on the side with the best light, ensuring that each space can enjoy the indoor landscape.

Like technological progress occurring in solitude, without stepping on mountains or entering the wilderness, the space always keeps its gentleness and elegance, integrating the sculptural shape, rational structural beauty, simple and elegant sense of line, minimalism, and heavy reality.

The indoor landscape between the exhibition hall and front hall divides two negotiation rooms. Moreover, there is a multi-functional hall that can accommodate 200 people served for annual meetings, exchange banquets, or tenancy. The design and renovation process is a continuous dialogue with the space, in which the old factory building tells the stories of the last era, the people, and the new technologies discovered there.

As new history is still happening, the relationship between the old and new is the most considered in the space design for the new use. New materials often bring new textures. And the lighting design in the project is a practice in line with lighting technology. The environment-friendly linear light strip can effectively control costs, save energy, and guide the space through smooth lines.

Extending the concise and clean design approach in the workplace, the design of the staff canteen and clubhouse follows the design concept of waters from four directions returning to the central hall, providing an exclusive communication center for colleagues and partners to help them better communicate with industry experts and share experiences.
