The design mandate was to optimize this small backyard while matching the heritage charm of this cozy duplex bi-generation of Old-Longueuil. With this new configuration of spaces, this young family now benefits from a courtyard optimistic where every area is optimized and is profitable in summer and winter. First, there are large steps where it is nice to sunbathe throughout the day, a large dining area, an elegant steel fireplacecorten, an outdoor lounge located in the old shed and an area games for kids. The choice of noble materials such as cedar wood and flooring with a heritage character is harmonize wonderfully with the property. At night, the lighting highlights the building’s beautiful red brick cladding and literraly brings the backyard to life.
