GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 15th edition

Discipline : Interior Design

Categories : Residence / Residential Space ≤ 1,600 sq. ft. (≤ 150 sq.m.) : Silver Certification

Phase 2 of the Yul project is situated in the heart of Montreal, facing the Mountains of the Mont Royal at 1400 René-Lévesque. Signed Lipari Design, this residence is amongst numerous condo units housed by an international clientele. Imbued with elegance and femininity, the client, therefore, named it the Bijoux (Jewel) project. The drum effect wooden slats of the entrance accompany the backlit custom-designed mirror giving off an unequivocal well-thought-of intention upon arrival. The carefully selected old rose and gold wallpaper evoke femininity elegantly.

Inspired by some of the largest hotels, the master bedroom is composed of a magnificent voluminous headboard with taupe upholstery and golden inserts. Those aspects of the design blend perfectly with the elegant custom-made lighting fixtures, reflecting the toned-down gold colour of the glass. The drum-effect nightstands are an interesting reminder of the retro look of the entrance. The round furniture has an interesting custom-made rounded shelving in order to bring functionality. The den space was wisely created in order to have a modular office space that can transform into a guest bedroom. The adjacent slim doors finished in gold offer bright, discreet and elegant accessibility into the space.

The limited available space of the unit was a wonderful opportunity as well as inspiring for our devoted designers. This challenge brought on a successful custom design of the sofa which beautifully hugs the concrete column as well as a multifunctional kitchen island serving as a dinner table as well as a practical and functional workspace.

This loved project is the reflection of a well-thought-of retro vision, furnished with care in order to optimize the available space beautifully. The functionality of the furniture and its layout respond perfectly to every need in a limited space.
